Who We Are
Pastor Nate is currently serving as the Lead Pastor at Forest Baptist Church. Born and raised in Inkster, MI, he received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University and is presently pursuing a Master of Arts in Church Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Nate has served families in ministry for the past 16 years and is passionate for seeing the gospel restore broken homes and lives. Nate enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing ball. He is married to Dar-Isha Bishop and they have four wonderful children.
Maceo Lewis Sr.
Associate Pastor (Evangelism and Outreach)
Pastor Maceo Lewis, born June 24, 1971, is a native of Louisville, KY raised in the Newburg community. He graduated from Sullivan University in 1991 with an Associates of Computer Science Degree. After graduating from Sullivan, he gained employment at United Parcel Service where he has worked for 25 years.
Pastor Maceo is the Evangelism and Outreach Pastor of Forest Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. After accepting the call of Jesus Christ to the Ministry, he was licensed by Pastor Jamaal Williams and Forest Baptist Church in 2009. Prior to accepting the call to the Ministry, Maceo had the privilege of serving as a Deacon at Forest Baptist. As Evangelism and Outreach Pastor he has enjoyed the opportunity to serve and lead multiple domestic missionary trips. He has a passion for studying and teaching the word of God. He loves pouring into the lives of new believers through intentional discipleship.
He is the father of Maceo Jr. and Jasmine through his late wife Jocelyn Lewis. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and reading.
Jimmy is a native of the East coast of Virginia. He moved to Cincinnati where he met the love of his life Brittany. They were recently blessed with a "daddy's little girl", Selah.
He holds an Associates of Bible degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry. He is currently working on a Masters of Divinity degree in Islamic Studies. Jimmy has focused on ministring to African-American men who adhere to non-Christian African-American religions for over 10 years and has written numerous articles on that topic. Licensed to preach in 2012 and ordained in 2013, he has served as an Associate and ministered in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area for about 6 years. He is a frequent revival preacher and has served the Jenkins Center for the Christian Understanding of Islam at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as an intern and Student Associate for two years.
Jones is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and comes to Boyce with 10 years of varied experience in the public school system, collegiate level, and church life. He has taught in Fayette, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties and served as an assistant professor in the School of Education at Kentucky State University where he and his wife are both alumni.
Jones has served a youth pastor in several churches and served as a pastoral intern for pastor Kevin Smith and has served two years in the pastoral apprenticeship with pastor Ryan Fullerton. He is a board member of Love Thy Neighborhood.
Jones’s longing is to see Christian teachers and leaders impact the lives of students nationally and internationally, teaching, and leading to the glory of God. He and his high school sweetheart, Demica, have three children: Kennedi, Kevin Jr, and Karsynn.
